offset paper

Sheet stacking – The final printed sheet emerges in the delivery area in the same way as a traditional offset press.
Paper cooling – Before the sheets leave the press, they pass under a bank of fans designed to optimize the sheet temperature and ink drying performance.
Optimized drying system – The drying system features a transport belt heated via rollers, with a vacuum applied to the sheet as it passes through this section. Drying is carried out via the heated belt and hot air applied from above. The vacuum ensures the heat is applied uniformly, keeping the sheet stable, and optimizing the drying process.
Nozzle correction – Every sheet is scanned by the In-Line Sensor (ILS) with the system making any necessary alterations in real time. The system is mounted just after printing to ensure any adjustments are applied dynamically throughout the run.
New Samba printheads – The paper is fed onto the imaging cylinder where it is held by grippers and a vacuum, and four Samba print bars deposit the CMYK inks in a single pass. The unique vacuum system significantly enhances print quality and consistency.
Variable data scanning – To handle double sided variable data applications, a barcode is printed in the non-image area of every sheet. When the sheet is backed up, the barcode is read and the press downloads the right data for that sheet before printing.
Paper feed – Traditional sheet-fed paper feed mechanism ensures high registration accuracy and reliable operation.

The J Press Difference

J Press will be the keystone to your profit center, drive new revenue streams and increase your ROI. Imagine having no plates, and no make readies during pre-press production. See print speeds at 3,600 sheets per hour while maintaining superb dot placement accuracy. Watch your sheets emerge dry and move directly to post-print finishing operations. That is the J Press Difference.

SAMBA Print Quality

The latest SAMBA printheads deliver ultra-high density and advanced precision at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi native resolution. With four levels of grayscale, the J Press delivers a quality output that is better than offset.

The newest generation SAMBA printheads working together with a fully re-engineered dryer system, enhances the output speed of the new J Press 750HS to 3,600 sheets per hour, doubling the sellable output and allowing for even faster turnaround for all jobs.

Advanced Engineering

Delivering the industry benchmark in quality, repeatability and reliability, the J Press 750 is literally an adaptation of a traditional offset press.

Built on an offset frame, J Press incorporates a highly reliable infeed, a completely re-engineered rapid drying section, full variable data capability and a simplistic operation radically changing the requirement for a operation.

Say Goodbye to Make Ready

The J Press eliminates all the preparation and set-up time of an offset press.

There are no plates to produce, no plate setters or processors to maintain, no make readies, no run up to color, no waste sheets and virtually no pressroom consumables. It operates in the most
efficient way possible – just send the PDF to the press and print.

In addition, the J Press takes advantage of software improvements to ensure productivity is maximized. Job management is so efficient, that jobs can be prepared by XMF while the press is printing, ensuring continuous operation and no down-time. This even applies to data-hungry collated or personalized variable data jobs.

Real-Time Quality Control

Nozzle and ink inconsistencies are corrected in real time by the In Line Sensor (ILS) system.

Scan for Quality Assurance

The optional Image Confidence scanning system will scan each sheet, in real time, assuring your entire run meets what you set as the target standard.

Ultra-Consistent from Job-to-Job

High performance water-based VIVIDIA inks, working with Fujifilm’s integrated technologies, ensure superb consistency and repeatability.

Whether throughout a run, or run to run today, tomorrow or next week, the J Press 750S matches, holds and reproduces color with virtually no shift without any operator intervention or additional work.

Unmatched Productivity

Running at 3,600 sheets per hour with the larger 23” x 29.5” sheet size, doubles the hourly output of letter size images. Sheets emerge from the press dry and ready to move directly into post printing finishing operations

Larger Sheet Size

The J Press 750HS introduces a new larger sheet size of 23″ x 29.5″ (585 mm x 750 mm) which expands the maximum printable area allowing for a “6-up” imposition of letter size images.

It is clear why the J Press leads the industry in sellable output production.

A Wide Range of Application Possibilities

Standard Coated and Uncoated Offset Stocks

The J Press 750HS prints on standard coated and uncoated offset stocks, eliminating the need for specially treated stocks required to get the highest level of quality output. This saves a significant amount of money and removes any need to inventory additional stocks.

Board Stock – Folding Carton

The J Press can also be configured to run stocks up to 24 pt. board making the J Press 750HS a leading production solution for short run folding carton work. Able to reproduce 90% of the Pantone library within a Delta E of 3 or less the J Press 750HS is also able meet the needs of many discerning brand owners.

A powerful press requires a powerful workflow

Wider Gamut, High Impact Printing

The J Press 750HS enhanced color gamut allows you to reproduce more spot colors and more vibrant images with just four CMYK inks, without the need to add special inks or toners. Print up to 90% of the Pantone library with a Delta E of 3 or less.

Predict Spot Colors Prior to Printing

Fujifilm’s Brand Color Optimizer accurately predicts how closely a Pantone color will be printed before even printing. Decisions can be made up front, without any time wasted determining what colors are possible and not possible.

Classic Color

It’s a funny story about how Classic ended up investing in the Fujifilm J Press 720S. To hear Jeff Hernandez tell it, after a complete evaluation of the digital presses on the market, Classic narrowed the field down to two, and then arranged a printer “shootout” with two of its key clients as judges.

What People Are Saying

I’m often asked how the Fujifilm J Presses have transformed my business, and I guess that’s hard for me to answer because they didn’t transform my business, they’re the reason I got back into the business.

The quality output of J Press is what initially stood out. In regards to color consistency, there is no other digital press that is more consistent, from one sheet to the next, from the tail to the gripper, the technology is revolutionary.
